Program Highlights

One of the benefits of conscious living is increased self-awareness. When we are aware of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we can better understand ourselves and make positive changes in our lives. This can lead to improved relationships, increased happiness and fulfillment, and a greater sense of purpose. In this retreat we are going to use the different yogic practices to support you on your way towards more self-awareness.

Every morning we will practice traditional Hatha Yoga together. The word hatha is a Sanskrit combination of the words “ha” (sun) and “tha” (moon), which in itself is a union of the opposites. This Yoga practice aims to balance the sun and moon energy and the two portions of our autonomic nervous system to bring balance back into our system.

Yin Yoga Initially called “Daoist” yoga this style of yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body and the fascia that covers the body and helps to regulate the flow of energy in the body. It is a meditative Yoga practice and helps us to move further inward and connect with our intuition.

Did you know that 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra are as restorative as 4 hours of deep sleep?

Yoga Nidra, also called the ‘Yogic Sleep’ is a state where the Yogi is neither completely asleep nor fully awake – a conscious, dynamic psychic sleep.

Together we will explore this ancient meditation technique has the power to take you to the deepest levels of physical and mental relaxation.  It will give you conscious access to move beyond the ego mind, where you experience an integrated state of Oneness.

Every morning before our asana class, we are practicing pranayama and meditation together.  Here we will introduce you to different breathing and meditation techniques that you can use in your daily life to be more present and aware of your thoughts and actions.

Mudras are a combination of subtle physical movements that alter mood, attitude and perception. They deepen awareness and concentration. A mudra can involve the whole body in a combination of asana, pranayama, bandha and visualization techniques or it can be a simple hand position.

In this retreat in Germany we will explore different mudras, their benefits and you will learn how to integrate them into your Yoga practice and your daily routine – for example when you are waiting in line in the supermarket.

Mantra - a word or sound repeated to aid concentration in meditation

Chanting mantras is an ancient practice that calms your mind. When you chant mantras your mind releases the positive energy that decreases the negative thought patterns.

Together we will explore Sanskrit mantras and their powerful vibrations.

In our 7 days retreat in Germany we will speak about the nervous system, its important role in our perception of reality and how we can access deeper levels of consciousness by working with our nervous system. You will also learn why we store emotions in our hips, how we can become aware of energy stagnations in our body and how to release them. Last but not least you will learn more about the respiratory system and the breath as a bridge between our body and mind.

How to live a conscious life?

The yogis thousands of years ago, already had an answer to that – be present.

Easier said than done. In the Yoga philosophy we will speak about the eight limbs of Yoga – yogic guidelines to live a happy and conscious life. You will learn more about their background and how to implement them into your life.

Another important part is the different paths of Yoga. Every one of us has to find their unique way to reconnect with life and learning about the different paths opens a possibility to everyone to find this.

We will also speak about misconceptions about Yoga and how they can limit us in living a conscious life.
