50 Hours Yin Yoga Training

Yoga Styles: Yin Yoga

Understanding Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced Yoga style where postures are held for longer periods of time, typically ranging from one to five minutes or more. Unlike more dynamic forms of yoga, Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body, such as ligaments and fascia, rather than focusing primarily on muscles. This practice helps to improve flexibility, release tension, and stimulate the flow of energy through the body's meridian channels.

Its meditative approach, encourages practitioners to cultivate mindfulness, deep relaxation, and an inward focus.

Harnessing Yin Energy

Yin energy, associated with the moon, promotes a sense of coolness and calmness in both body and mind. Through the stillness of the body in yin yoga, practitioners can achieve stillness of the mind, leading to a deeper realization of their true nature.

Our Yin Yoga Teacher Training is a six-day residential course and allows you to deepen your own practice and also learn how to guide others. This immersive yin yoga training is ideal for everyone who would like to learn more about this slow-paced style of Yoga and connect deeper with their feminine energy.

Step into the Yin side of life and join us in Germany to explore the benefits of the Yin Yoga practice!

This course is embedded in the YACEP program of Yoga Alliance and you can add the 50 hours of this course to your continuous education hours.

Program Highlights

The way we know and practice Yin Yoga was developed by Paul Grilley in the late 80s. It is based on Daoist Yoga that combines the ancient Indian traditions with the Chinese energy system (meridians), his knowledge of anatomy and the meridian theory. It is a great complementary practice to all the yang Yoga styles and highly recommended for those of you who practice Ashtanga Vinyasa or Vinyasa Yoga to balance your yin and yang energies.

During this 50 hours Yin Yoga teacher training in Germany we will practice and teach 26 yin asanas, like caterpillar, swan and frog with variations and modifications. With the help of different probs you can get a deeper feeling and understanding of the postures.

In these sessions of our 50 hour yin yoga teacher training, we focus on breaking down each yoga pose. Through detailed instruction, participants gain insight into proper alignment and technique. Additionally, you'll learn how to provide verbal cues and adjustments to improve the practice experience.

Recognizing the uniqueness of every practitioner's body the use of props such as blocks, bolsters, cushions, and blankets plays a crucial role in facilitating comfort and alignment in Yin Yoga postures.

By incorporating props, we aim to create a supportive environment that encourages relaxation and deepens the stress without compromising safety. Understanding how to utilize props effectively allows practitioners to experience the full benefits of Yin Yoga while minimizing the risk of injury.

In these lectures of our 50 h Yin Yoga teacher training in Germany you will learn, how Yin Yoga was developed, the theory of exercise behind it, how and when to practice Yin Yoga, the concept of playing your edges and much more.

From a yogic point of view we are much more than our physical body.
